After your wedding party, your baby shower will be the next most exciting party that you will ever have. This is the opportunity to celebrate the next step in your relationship with your spouse or to celebrate the growth and love in your family. And sure, it’s also a great way to attract tons of attention and receive lots of gifts from your friends and family. Now that we have got that out of the way, let’s discuss some fun baby shower themes.

The Book Theme – Ask each guest to bring one of his or her favorite books with them that they read and cherished as a child. You can decorate the room with pictures of your favorite book covers and characters and place some books on the tables.

The Duckling Theme – Place rubber duckies around the room. Have fun picking ducklings of different color and size. You can even find themed rubber duckies or ones that are dressed up in cute outfits. You can decorate the room with balloons that display pictures of ducks, or put a kid’s inflatable pool in the corner with floating rubber ducks.

The Orient Theme – This theme creates lively room décor for the guests. Decorate by hanging red lanterns from the walls and ceiling and by hanging some beautiful screens with scenic mountain views. The theme would not be complete unless you serve Chinese food and fortune cookies and ask your guests to use chopsticks. It is recommended not to do a Japanese theme because of the possibility that the mom-to-be might love sushi. If so, she may get a little upset if she can’t eat with her guests.

The Baby Umbrella Theme – Hang colorful baby umbrellas from the ceiling to create a fun and colorful mood.

The Baby Clothesline Theme – Hang a couple pieces of rope from one side of the room to another. Once complete, hang some cute baby clothes from them as if they’re drying. This theme will really keep everyone in the baby shower mood.

The Alphabet Theme – You can use different colored alphabet letters to decorate the room and add some magnetic alphabet lettering to a magnetic whiteboard. You can even borrow from the clothesline theme and hang a alphabet theme blanket up on the wall. If some of your guests are kids, you can even serve them alphabet soup

The Garden Party Theme – Have your guests enjoy sandwiches, salads and cool drinks in the yard while they view the flowers in their pretty summer dresses. This theme is the most beautiful of all when done in the springtime amongst budding flowers. However, make sure it’s not too warm or the mom-to-be may have to take a break and go inside to cool off.

If you look online, you’ll be sure to find invitations or be able to make custom invitations that relate to your baby shower theme. It’s a good idea to clearly indicate to your guests what the theme of your baby shower will be so that they come prepared. No one wants to show up to a book themed baby shower and be the only one who didn’t bring a book. Whatever your theme, have fun and enjoy this time with your friends and family.

The Jabbour Linens family would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on this joyous occasion and wish your family health and happiness.
